Description
The Douro Valley is World Heritage since 2001. One of the most beautiful regions in the country where the Douro river and the vineyards make the dominant scenery. The region brings us wine classified worldwide as one of the best and also the famous Port wine.
Details
Departure from the hotel at 08h30. The tour starts with a stop in Amarante for the visit to São Gonçalo’s church and to taste the region’s traditional pastries. Followed by the scenic drive from Sabrosa to Pinhão, to absorve the unique landscape. In Pinhão we’ll find the beautiful train station, decorated with hand painted tiles. Free time for lunch. The return to Porto doesn’t happen before a visit to a winery, tasting of course, the famous Port Wine . Return to the hotel through Régua and Mesão Frio.
